Mei Larasati’s thesis exam took place for the 2023 Fast Track Master’s Student Program at 09.00 – 11.00 WIB offline in Building J Room 304 FPIK Undip. The thesis examination is the final stage in completing studies in the Master’s Program which has been taken for approximately 2 years through all the ups and downs.
The thesis exam that has been presented is entitled “Management Strategy for the Tirang Beach Tourism Area, Semarang City Based on Analysis of Suitability and Carrying Capacity”. Based on research results, the Tirang Beach Area Carrying Capacity (DDK) currently has not exceeded its maximum capacity so its potential can still be further developed while still upholding sustainability principles to minimize damage or degradation of existing natural resources. Alternative strategies are: (1) The city government collaborates with tourism awareness groups to develop the Tirang Beach tourist area, one of which is in terms of developing and improving innovative facilities and infrastructure; (2) Optimizing the use of technology and various media, both print and non-print, in providing information and promotions about the Tirang Beach tourist area so that it is better known to the public because it has a beautiful attraction with affordable entry fees; and (3) Increasing the competitiveness of coastal tourist areas by paying attention to tourist interests through optimizing tourism potential and the characteristics of Tirang Beach. Tirang Beach has tourism potential ranging from beautiful natural views, tourist attractions for swimming and playing in the water, a comfortable atmosphere with calm waves, and green open areas. The characteristic panorama of the sunset which is quite beautiful in the afternoon and the many colorful gazebos give an attractive impression on Tirang Beach.
