Thesis examination by Zallva Arsyta Hartanto on Monday, May 26, 2025 at 14.00-16.00 WIB offline at Building J305 FPIK Undip. The thesis examination as the final stage in completing studies in the Masters Program which has been passed with various joys and sorrows to reach this stage.
The thesis examination that has been presented is entitled “Exploration of Bacteria with Biosurfactant Potential in the Mangrove Ecosystem of Tirang Beach, Semarang City”. Based on the research results, the results of sequencing with BLAST obtained that isolate 6.1.D has the closest homology to the Rhodococcus qingshengii species. Rhodococcus qingshengii bacteria show physiological characteristics as Gram-positive bacteria that have the ability to adapt to environments with hydrophobic substrates, such as oil and hydrocarbons. Rhodococcus qingshengii obtained from sample 6.1.D has been proven to have the ability to produce biosurfactants with an emulsion index (E24) of 80%, confirming that this bacteria can be used as a remediation agent to overcome environmental pollution, especially oil pollution.
